Services

Delicious, healthy, home-cooked meals aren't just for people with endless ammounts of free time, or those who happen to be married to someone appearing on the food network; no, when you hire a personal chef, you too can enjoy excellent produce, fresh fish and top quality meats! It's not too expensive, and really pays off at the end of the day to come home and know you've got a bunch of wonderful dinners ready for you to enjoy, waiting in your refrigerator for you to simply pick one and enjoy.

'How does this work', you might wonder? My business is LA Personal Chef Service, and I'm here to create and prepare food that's designed for you and your family's specific needs and tastes! And the best part is, you won't have to plan, shop, or clean up!

If you stop to think about it, wouldn't it be great if someone else could do your cooking for you? Things like grocery shopping, cooking, (gulp) cleaning pots and pans...these things do not appear on the top 100 list of excitement and fun. Not to worry, because while you may not enjoy menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, chopping, and searching high and low for top quality or eccentric ingredients, I love it! Best of all, I love to do it for you! I like to find out what you eat, what you would like to eat, what you can't eat...if you like lemon, and what about fresh ginger? Hot and spicy? Any Sherry Vinegar? Fresh Salmon? (NOT FARMED, please! The cost savings is just not worth it!) Sorry, I digress. After creating a custom menu for you, on the scheduled day, I arrive with all the groceries and my own equipment needed to prepare your meals, and leave the kitchen spotless, your house smelling wonderful, and your refrigerator full of delicious foods ready to go!

I do special menus with tasty meals that can be frozen and keep longer, for a cost-friendly option, or all fresh things, (which isn't 'unfriendly' either) according to your price range and preference.

Does this sound like something you'd like to try? Well, if you're a working couple, a busy family, a single professional, a senior, on a medically restrictive diet, trying to lose weight, or someone who loves good food, my guess is that using the LA Personal Chef Service will give you better nutrition, save time each week, and totally help you to unwind at the end of the day with a delicious meal. Try it for yourself!

About the Chef

I've been cooking all my life, for myself, my family, and my guests. I also know how important it is to eat the right kind of food in order to have a lot of energy, and look and feel great.

There are a lot of chefs out there who may know something about cooking, but it's so important to keep educated and well informed! I do. For example, working with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation's quidelines for healthy and sustainable fishing ensures that the clients get the tastiest and healthiest fresh fish available, while at the same time taking care of our oceans. I graduated from the Culinary Bussiness Academy in Phoenix, AZ in January, 2004 (wow! was that great information!), and have been a premier member of the United States Personal Chef Association ever since then. Before that, in 2002, I attended the Spring Session of Erna's Elderberry House Cooking School and got to take advantage of working with an amazing Austrian Pastry Chef. I liked the school so well, I decided to start working there!

Additionally, I have a business background, so I understand the privilege and responsibility of serving clients. I value behaving in a professional and kind manner at all times, and always treating each client with the utmost respect as I work hard to meet your needs. I hold liability insurance, and am licensed with LA County.

frequently asked questions

What kind of food do you make?
I have hundreds of recipes to choose from for all kinds of styles of cuisines that can be matched with your exact preferences, even kids and those with alergies or various restrictions. For myself, lately, I've been really been into strawberry spinach salad with apricot vinaigrette and toasted almonds, then orange seared Alaskan Salmon with Arugula Pesto over brown rice, and Blackberry Pie for dessert, but that's just me! I had one client who had to have a different kind of quiche, on the homemade pastry crust with different things in it, like gruyere cheese and diced ham, or roasted red peppers, or ratatouille veggies, each time something different. I look forward to finding out what your favorites are.

Just curious, why is your number in the 559 area code?

Don't let the area code fool you! I am now serving the LA area, particulary Valencia, Stevenson Ranch and Santa Clarita, but my phone number is from the central valley.

How much does it cost?
A weekly all-fresh service with refrigerator items is $275 chef fee plus the cost of groceries. This service makes five different entrees with one side dish as appropriate, for 2 people. 3 Fresh meals for two people on a weekly service is $175 plus the cost of groceries. Or, for a significant cost savings, 5 differrent meals with 4 servings each (duplicate meals twice for 2 people) the cost is just $300 plus the cost of groceries. Additional fresh items and desserts can be added to any menu. Please call for a price quote.
